He should have valued her more. By the time he realised it was Martha who he truly loved, she was gone.

She’s my wife

A woman named Martha was married to a man called Robert. As a surgeon, he travelled a lot around the world. He would call his wife every night, talking for hours and hours. He would come back every 2 months. But this time something was weird because he was gone for 6 years without coming back. At first he would call but gradually his calls become less frequent and less passionate. One day, he finally stopped calling.

After six years, Martha has had enough. So finally, she listened to her friends Marlin and Marigold and went to check up on her husband. Marlin believed that he was cheating on her but Marigold told Martha to stay positive. In no time they were outside her husband’s apartment and Martha was freaking out. She was sweating from head to toe and her blood was running like a leopard.

She finally took a deep breath and opened the door to her husband’s apartment. She looked around but could not find anyone. As she was about to give up, something stopped her. A high-pitched giggle erupted from upstairs. Shaking like a frightened Chihuahua, she pulled herself together and ascended the staircase slowly. She came to a stop in front of a very large white door that was slightly opened. Pushing the door, she came to a sight that she wished she had never seen. It was her husband with a woman and two kids. On the wall she saw a framed wedding photo of her husband and the other woman. She ran down the stairs and started sobbing uncontrollably. Seeing a knife on kitchen top, she grabbed in and ran upstairs with an intention of killing the other woman. Martha covered the mouth of the other woman to muffle her scream and committed the brutal act of stabbing to vent all her anger. The husband returned from the washroom and witnessed this horrible incident. He appeared to be unmoved but merely shocked. As Martha left the room, she slapped his face.

The next day when her husband came back from work, there was a commotion in front of his apartment. When he finally got into the middle of it he couldn’t help but break down as his wife was lying dead on the floor surrounded by broken glass. The paramedics took her in and all he could do was to scream that “she’s my wife”.

He should have valued her more. By the time he realised it was Martha who he truly loved, she was gone. He caused the destruction of two lives, and was left alone with two kids.
