Experience at MALCS

Many Years after graduation, I still benefit a lot from what I learned in MALCS. The issues we discussed in the class are still so relevant to present times, if not more, such as diaspora, cultural identity, and ways of seeing the city as a cutural text. MALCS has laid a solid theoretical foundation for me and others who are dedicated to culivating cultral citizenship via creative practices. The curriculums are very well organized and substantial, while flexible enough to encourage students to explore their own interested topics. I also miss the vibe of the class - it was like a big family. All in all, being a student in MALCS was a fruitful, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
