In Pursuit of Independent Visions in Hong Kong Cinema:

Book Launch and Sharing Session

Honourable speaker: Mr. Law Kar (film critic)

Topic: Mr. Law Kar will talk about the local indie cinema culture in Hong Kong during the 60s and 70s, as a reflection on today’s scenario. The speakers will share their own views regarding the pursuit of independent visions in Hong Kong cinema. Clips taken from Young Hong Kong Artists Dialogue, a new film by a local young talented filmmaker Machi Ma, will also be screened during the sharing session.

*The talk will be conducted in Cantonese. English translation will be provided upon request.

《尋找香港電影的獨立景觀》新書發佈及討論會

討論會主題：資深影評人羅卡先生將會親述六、七十年代的香港獨立電影文化，並與香港電影的現今情況作出對照。在討論會中，一眾講者將會漫談香港電影中的獨立景觀，而屆時更會放映年青導演馬智恆先生的新作《香港青年藝術家對談錄》精華片段。
