Sabayoning the City

Dr. Esther Cheung (Associate Professor, Department of Comparative Literature) and eight undergraduates and postgraduates from the Department of Comparative Literature has co-authored the book Sabayoning the City. Inspired by the course The City as Cultural Text, the book contains a collection of creative prose, poems, prose poems, essays of cultural criticism, and mini-stories about the city. 

The book is now available for sale in most major bookstores in Hong Kong. You can also purchase it at the department (MB256) at a discounted price of $40.

《沙巴翁的城市漫遊》

香港大學比較文學系副教授張美君博士及八名研究生和本科生深受 The City as Cultural Text 課程啟發，他們先把「城市」當作文本來閱讀，繼而再創作關於城市的文本，出版了《沙巴翁的城市漫遊》一書。書中有散文、詩、評論、小小說……「沙巴翁」本是法式甜品，書中卻成了思考城市問題的隱喻。
